Entry Thirteen. Clean Slate

     Following my crazy date with The Activist on Wednesday I reconnected with East Coast. I was glad and relieved that I wouldn't have to juggle two girls at once. I don't know if I'm ready for that, or if I'd ever want to handle that sort of thing. I'm looking for something serious, so why jeopardize anything? I've said this before.

     Anyway, we still had our date set up for Friday night - dinner then drinks with her friends who were visiting - but she suggested a movie night for that evening. I rebutted, I had a basketball game later on, so I suggested a hike up the mountain instead.
  
     We decided to meet downtown after work. It was really cold again (surprise surprise) so we decided to forgo the hike and head back to my place to hang out for a couple hours. We watched a movie and talked. We made out a little before I had to go to my game and said goodnight.

     The next morning she texted me that she was feeling ill and wanted to postpone the date until Sunday or Monday. We talked back and forth a little during the day, until she went home and went to sleep. I texted her this morning, no response. I tried again:

"You dead?"

"No. I'm just not ready to date someone right now, I just think it's too soon after my breakup. I'm not ready to jump into anything"

     I assured her I wasn't asking for her to jump into anything, but alas that was it for East Coast. It definitely seems like this came out of nowhere, since she seemed into me (at least more so then I was into her).

     Oh well, guess that leaves a clean slate.
