This post is going to be used to wrap up my last "online relationship". Recapping where I left off with my last entry, I had gone out for coffee with the Gamer Girl from Ontario. It went well, and we made plans to meet up again.
Right from the get go, there were problems. She worked in a very fast paced industry, which apparently required a large time commitment. Because of this, our second date would have to wait a whole week, until the next Saturday, when we planned a redo of the first date we never had...
The day we decided to go out was smack in the middle of Pop Montreal, Montreal's premiere independent music festival. Both of us suggested we go see a show. She had one in mind; Sheezer, a all-female, Weezer cover band. They were playing in the plateau, and I suggested a neat little bar I had stumbled upon with my friend (I believe I mentioned this before), which was conveniently located near the venue.
I meet her downtown outside the metro, and we took the underground train to the heart of Hipsterville, Montreal. I misjudged where the bar was in relation to the metro, and we got off at the wrong stop and had to walk for nearly 30 minutes to find the place.
Thankfully my little mix-up was easily overlooked, and we had a great time at the bar. It was across the street from the UbiSoft building. I remember the ceiling was split into 4 areas which were all constructed differently, and it had a very hipster vibe. We had great chemistry and after a couple drinks she confessed she "really wanted to kiss me". She was good kisser, and apparently so was I, and from then on we made out all night. We eventually relocated to the Sheezer show, but I couldn't really tell you how they were past the first song (see above).
At the end of the night I walked her back downtown and flagged her a cab. We kissed goodnight and I waved her goodbye. It had been, by far, the best date I've had through the site.
In the next 3 or 4 weeks we texted a lot, but I saw her again only three times. We eventually broke it off because she didn't have time for a relationship (she's focusing on her career) and I wasn't interested in maintaining a long distance type deal with someone who lived in the same city. Maybe we'll pick it back up if things change, maybe not.
Is the UbiSoft building shiny and wonderful?
ReplyDeleteIt's actually an old abandoned textiles factory. So no.
